Abstract

Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berperan penting dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan implikasinya terhadap kompetensi guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data terkait peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin, motivator, supervisor, dan inovator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah di MIN 2 Metro berhasil merumuskan visi dan misi yang jelas, memberikan motivasi melalui briefing rutin, melakukan supervisi kelas secara terstruktur, dan mengimplementasikan sistem reward dan punishment. Temuan ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa kepemimpinan berbasis Islam yang diterapkan kepala sekolah berimplikasi positif terhadap kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional guru. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya inovasi dalam kepemimpinan sekolah dan penguatan hubungan sosial dengan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih baik dan mendukung peningkatan kualitas pengajaran.
