This study examines the implementation of the Al-Baghdadiyah method in shaping teacher perceptions of Qur'anic learning at SDIT Al-Azhar, Kediri City, and its contribution to the formation of a Qur'an-based school culture. Employing a qualitative single case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation (October 2025 April 2026), and document analysis. Thematic analysis following Braun and Clarke (2006) was applied, with source and technique triangulation as well as member checking to ensure credibility. Findings reveal: (1) implementation proceeds through a tiered coaching system socialization, graded training at Pondok Purwo Asri, a tashih mechanism by Bu Nyai as competency certification, and quarterly continuous coaching; (2) teacher awareness is formed through three complementary dimensions epistemological, pedagogical, and reflective; (3) teacher motivation is built through dynamic interaction between intrinsic motivation (sincerity, satisfaction, spiritual conviction) and extrinsic motivation (institutional support, kyai/bu nyai guidance, learning community); (4) successful implementation contributes to a Qur'an-based school culture reflected in tadarus routines, a tiered learning system, and student achievements. These findings extend Borg's teacher cognition model by adding a spiritual-religious dimension relevant to Islamic education contexts.
